What is Bottle Caps N’ Corks?

Bottle Caps N’ Corks (BCNC for short) started a long time ago in the early 2000’s where we started creating artwork (functional and for display) out of recycled materials such as bottle caps, corks, cans, bottles, pretty much anything you can drink, we wanted to repurpose.

Why are you obsessed with “All Things Drinks”?

We all start drinking from the first day of our lives and the thirst never stops. Our taste buds change so our drink of choice changes, but drinking never ends. At a young age I feel in love with craft sodas of all kinda. root beer, orange soda, Jones Soda co., Blue Sky, Hanson, and then I found a hidden gem, sarsaparilla, not just any old Sassy P. but was introduced to Sioux City in a old mining town called Calico Ghost Town in one of the taverns. I sat at the bar, the bartender cracked open a cold one, slid it down to me and that right there, was the best drink I have ever tasted. From there that started the real passion for “All Things Drinks”!

Why did you stitch from ETSY. to Square?

We all know ETSY is great for most of the time but as a small business (really small) ETSY makes it hard to be noticed, their expectations are unrealistic and for that we decided to switch over to our own online store. Plus we dont pay listing fees on every item every few months saving a ton of money, allowing us to post more items and ultimately pass down those savings of endless fees down to you, the customer.

I Noticed a different name on the website and when I checked out. What’s that all about?

To be upfront and honest, Bottle Caps N’ Corks is a reallllllllly small side hustle, it’s a hobby at best and at the end of the day, it doesn’t make enough money to be on its own. With that said I look to some help from some friends over at JonnySWeld to lend us a hand. They had a very pretty website (that was already paid for) and we asked if we can piggy back off them. They said yes, just pay us in drinks. So we are woking together on the back end of hosting our online story and taking care of the payment processing.
