❄️ Winter Projects - Save Money, Keep Your Gear in Shape

❄️ Winter Projects by JonnySWeld — Save Money, Skip the Rush, and Keep Your Gear in Shape

When the temperatures drop and the sparks slow down, that’s when JonnySWeld fires up the “Winter Projects” season. From October through March-ish, I open my shop for discounted welding and fabrication repairs on your summer gear and equipment — everything from mower decks and lawn chairs to blower housings, soccer goals, and anything else that’s been sitting in the garage waiting for some attention.

It’s a relaxed, low-pressure way to get your metal repairs done while things aren’t in use — and you’ll save some cash in the process.

🔧 What Are “Winter Projects”?

Winter Projects are exactly what they sound like — off-season welding and repair jobs that don’t need to be rushed. During the colder months, I take on these projects at a discounted rate because I can work them into my free time, between fabrication jobs, or after hours. You get the same high-quality welds, the same attention to detail, just without the premium price tag that comes with a tight turnaround.

If it’s metal and broken — I can probably fix it.
If it’s mild steel — even better.

💰 Pricing and Turnaround Time

Each Winter Project is quoted individually based on the repair and materials, but the general rule is simple: if it’s not rushed, you get a discount.

Because the turnaround is flexible, I can prioritize quick or emergency jobs first, while still keeping your project moving along in the background. Most Winter Projects are done within a week or two of drop-off, sometimes faster depending on the workload.

If you need something done right away or by a strict deadline, that’s no problem — I just bill it at my standard rate. “Winter Project” pricing only applies to relaxed timelines.

🧰 Materials and Quality

Every weld that leaves my shop — Winter Project or not — meets the same JonnySWeld standard: clean, strong, and built to last. I take pride in doing repairs the right way, whether it’s a quick patch or a full rebuild.

I keep a small stock of mild steel, stainless, and aluminum on hand for most general repairs. If your project only needs a small piece of material and I’ve got it in stock, there’s no extra charge for it.
If your job requires a large amount of material or a special order, I’ll simply include the material cost in your quote before starting — no surprises.

📍 Drop-Off and Pick-Up

All Winter Projects are handled right here in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. You can drop off your item directly at my shop or a location around the canonsburg area and pick it up when it’s ready — easy and local.

If you’re nearby and need help loading or unloading, just let me know ahead of time and we’ll make it happen. My goal is to keep things smooth, simple, and stress-free.

🎁 Bonus: Free Stickers!

Because no project should leave empty-handed — every other Winter Project order includes a couple of free JonnySWeld stickers (just ask when you drop off your gear). It’s my small way of saying thanks for supporting local welding and fabrication.

🔥 Why Winter Is the Perfect Time for Repairs

During summer, everyone’s in a rush — equipment breaks right when it’s needed most, and repair shops fill up fast. But in winter, your tools, gear, and equipment are sitting idle anyway. That’s the ideal time to give them some attention.

By scheduling your repairs in the off-season:

  • You’ll save money with the Winter Project discount.

  • You’ll skip the spring rush when everyone suddenly remembers what broke last summer.

  • You’ll extend the life of your tools, gear, and equipment.

  • You’ll support a local, small welding business (me 👋).
